ABOUT ME
Bar Amiga is an Israeli musician, composer, arranger, conductor, and musical director.
He graduated with high distinction from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with a Bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary composition and completed his Master’s degree in media composition with honors. During his studies, he acquired extensive composing and orchestration skills under some of Israel’s foremost musicians, including Prof. Ziv Cojocaru, Mr. Rafi Kadishzon, Prof. Michael Wolpe, Dr. Doron Kaufman, and Dr. Josef Bardanashvili, among others.
His chamber and orchestral works have been performed at prestigious venues such as the “Sounds in the Desert” festival with the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, and an honorable mention prize at the Prof. Haim Alexander Composition Competition. Alongside composing and arranging for diverse ensembles, Amiga has extensive experience in studio production, sound design, and electronic music creation. He is also a graduate of the Berlin International Conducting Masterclass under the baton of Maestro Lior Shambadal, where he conducted the Berlin Sinfonietta.

As a composer for screen, Amiga creates original scores for film, dance, and theater productions. Films featuring his music have been screened at various festivals both locally and internationally. He possesses deep expertise and understanding of cinematic arts, including visual and auditory elements, enhanced by his ongoing MFA studies in Film at Tel Aviv University.
Amiga also holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from Tel-Hai College, where he conducted research examining the relationships between trauma and music. Additionally, he served as a research assistant in Dr. Sivan Raz’s lab, investigating the effects of musical practice on symptoms of ADHD.
Currently, he teaches music theory and composition at the Raanana Conservatory, mentors emerging composers and musicians, and continues exploring the intersection between music, cinema, and the human psyche.
